Ford developing hydraulic hybrid trucks

RidesI, for one, would love to get a Ford F-150. But it's it bit big, and the gas mileage isn't that great. The Ford Escape Hybrid is nice enought, but it's a bit small for me, and doesn't quite have the power.

That could change with help of hydraulic hybrid technology.
Since the hydraulic technology is more efficient in storing energy than battery technology, these equipped trucks could go from 13/20 mpg up to 32/22 mpg.

I have seen one small article stat that the new F-150 could get up to 60, but that just seams unreasonable. Ford ha been working with the EPA since 1999 on this project, and it is now just starting to see the light of day, in an actual practical application.

This is pretty exciting stuff.
